How do you break through old patterns? There are many different ways...NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), hypnosis, energy work, psychotherapy, etc. The list goes on and on. Which method is the right one for you? Good question. Go with the one that inspires you the most, the one that feels right to you based on the situation you are in. Trust your gut. Breathe deeply and silence your mind. Let the answer come to you.It may just appear in the form of an email. You never know.
I received such an email that led me to the link below today. It resonated very well with me and maybe it will for you as well. :) This is one more tool you can use on your path of self healing.

Canyons
Canyons are amazing geological structures - rock carved out through water, forming incredibly tall cliffs that are simply awe inspiring. When you sit in the middle of such a canyon (e.g. Zion National Park) you can feel the massive, raw power it took to form these monumental structures, you can feel the strength of the rock still left behind.
When you are blessed to be in the midst of such beauty, let the power in, let the strength of nature seep into your pores and rejuvenate you. Open up and let you batteries be recharged. Let the grace of God's creation fill you.

Be Kind
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." by Plato
Every single person has lessons to learn and is given challenges to learn these lessons. All of us have ups and downs, so we all understand how hard and joyful life can be. One's own battle is hard enough without others adding to it. So, be kind to yourself and be kind to others.

Empty Your Mind
As busy as life is nowadays you can easily have you mind overload. Just like your body needs rest so does your mind. Take time to empty your mind. It does take practice to do it effectively. Gently push thoughts along and out of your head until you succeed in keeping it empty. When you mind takes a break you have space to just be. :)

Perception Of The World
"When you no longer perceive the world as hostile, there is no more fear, and when there is no more fear, you think, speak and act differently." by Eckhart Tolle
Pay attention to how you perceive the world generally. Do you believe it is benevolent? Hostile? Joyous? Empty? Boring? Adventurous? Unfair?
What is your attitude towards the world, towards life? Do you like what you believe, do you like what you see? Your perspective is your choice. Make sure it is what YOU want it to be.

Finding Your Way Back
The Great Salt Lake is so low right now that I was able to walk from the mainland to one of the islands. For the last stretch you needed to wade through water which reached to about your calf. On the way back though it looked completely different and I was not able to find the shallow water. Everywhere I looked it got deep fast.
It really struck me how easy it can be to get lost and how quickly you can get scared by seemingly different conditions. Consciously I knew there was the same, safe way back. I just didn't see it anymore. Ultimately I found another way where I had to wade through the water 2/3 up my thighs.
So here is what I learned: When you enter into uncharted territory, take good inventory of all perspectives, so when you have to retrace your steps you are able to do so. This applies to nature as well as life. And also when your enthusiasm takes over and you follow it head over heals, also know that there are alternatives too. You might have to step out of your comfort zone but you always do have choices. Either way, don't give way to fear. Solutions are right around the corner. :)

Truthful Reflection
"If you really want to know your mind, the body will always give you a truthful reflection, so look at the emotion, or rather feel it in your body. If there is an apparent conflict between them, the thought will be the lie, the emotion will be the truth." by Eckhart Tolle
This is an interesting way to check what is real. Trust your body! It doesn't know how to lie. :) Have fun with it.
