Perspective 2

How do you see me?  What do you see when you look at me? Who am I to you?

These are very interesting questions to ask of someone you respect, care for, and know very well if you want to find out how you are viewed by someone else, if you want to gain a broader view of yourself, an additional perspective.  Before you do this though, be sure that:

1. You are truly open for the feedback.
2. You don't judge the feedback.
3. You don't judge yourself!
4. You can be an observer.

View this as an expansion exercise.  This is information you are gathering to give you a different point of view, a different perspective.  By being the observer you can see the grains of truth that do apply to you, that in your heart of hearts you know are things you can build and improve on.  Take these grains for what they are - a gift.  Then, when you are ready, use them and apply them, if and when you feel it is appropriate.

Don't get hung up in the details of what is being said but look for the essence.  Whatever touches you is the essence of what is being said.
