When a lot of things happen around you at once it is very easy to fall back into old habits. Your subconscious takes over and you start coping the old way. Though every one's coping mechanism is different, odds are that you will not feel good overall.
When you manage to realize that you are repeating an old pattern, instead of taking whatever fight and flight reaction surfaces, take a deep breath and face this coping pattern. What are you trying to avoid? What are you afraid of? When you answer those questions you alter your modem operandi. The bad feelings will immediately disappear and you feel centered & at peace.
